Here we go....

We now have a house in Louisiana. Dad went down there yesturday to check it out, made an offer, and it was accepted. It's a nice house too... Big... Got a big porch... big rooms... big kitchen... big laundry room... It's big. I'm sure I'll like it once I get down there. Maybe I'll forget about Gwenna and actually have a good time... Maybe... She wouldn't be happy there anyway. A horse needs at least 2 acres of grass to graze on. 1 acre would be really pushing it. Yeah, she'll be happier here. Maybe after I get a job, I can rent a pasture somewhere near by, and buy her back. I'd have to have a trailer too... Oh well.

This move is going to be really hard, but I can see God preparing me for it. I have a summer full of new things comming up. Miracle Moutain Ranch will give me a chance to serve behind the scenes with people I've never met before, then the Gidian's convention will give me a chance to reach kids in my own age group for Christ. I don't really hang out with a lot of people my age (don't ask me why) so that is going to be a bit of a stretch. After the convention it's back to the ranch, and then on to Louisiana. Hopefully by then stangers won't be so strange, and I'll have learned to lay my protective shell aside in order to meet their needs.

I keep having to remind myself that we can come back any time. Sometimes I'll be hanging out with a good friend and when I think about leaving them, I just want to cry. Sometimes I do. But I know that God is calling us away for a reason. There is a spesific purpose in our moving, and so we must. This is best.

It's going to be awesome, I'm sure! We'll get to see the Koebels all the time, and be there for both of my grandmothers. I'll get to meet my cousins who are still living at home. Lance is off to college, but he'll come home for holidays. Every move is hard, but this is the life God has called us to. We might as well get used to it. We could even enjoy it! There is so much to see if we keep looking up!
Lord, thank You for sending us to Louisiana.
