You are ALL I need

Do you ever look over the past events in your life and feel like banging your head against the wall? Disappointment of how things could have been in contrast to how they are is like a weight hanging around a person's neck. It sometimes makes it hard to breathe. We're just so sure we messed it up beyond repair! Oh, to be able to go back in time and do it differently!! Have you ever noticed that tears aren't refreshing when they burn your cheeks?

Cry. Bang your head against a wall. Curl up in a ball and cover yourself with a blanket, but don't stay there long. God will be glorified; even through a messy life. He still loves you; even if it's your fault. He will forgive you if it was and you ask him to.

Take a deep, cleansing breath of fresh air. God loves you. Did you catch that? God loves YOU. Not who you pretend to be around your friends, not your "good twin". You. As YOU are. You might not feel that anyone else loves you, but God does. He made you, and He likes you.

I know you've probably heard all your life that God will provide for all our needs. That's food and clothing and a roof over your head, right? Not necessarily. He has been known on numerous occasions to provide those, but what of his children who don't have a home, or food, or clothing? Does He provide for all their needs too? Absolutely. We have more needs than just the physical ones. God wants more than anything to fill your spiritual and emotional needs as well.

Did it ever dawn on you that God might not want you to get married? "What?! No! The Lord said it's not good for man to be alone, so of course He wants me to get married!" Now really, are you alone? Adam was. You're not. You are an individual with a plan drawn up in God's mind all your own. Face it, sometimes God calls people to stay single. Girls as well as boys. Do you think those he calls are missing out on the fulfillment they could have in a marriage relationship? I want you to know that if you are seeking fulfillment in marriage, you will not find it. Only a life serving the Lord with all your heart brings satisfaction and purpose. Marriage was designed to be an extension of this goal. Therefore, if it would not better enable you to serve God to get married, you should not get married.

Do you think God could fulfill your emotional needs without a spouse? Why limit Him? Of course He can. He is all we will ever need. We won't need friends, a spouse, respect, or even love, when He gives us everything!You know, God is the perfect boyfriend, husband, father, and any other role you can think of. He is literally a Prince charming who rides a white horse! And He loves YOU. no matter your background. =^)
